# Changelog, January 2026: a dedicated env package and CI

January 2026 brought a dedicated env package, a redesigned mobile menu, a shared Sanity package and a CI workflow. Here is what changed.

The new year started with structure: shared packages, a proper CI workflow and a mobile menu worth tapping.

## Env, as its own package

Type-safe environment handling moved into a dedicated `env` package, replacing the earlier third-party setup. Both apps validate their config the same way, with fewer dependencies to keep alive.

## Shared Sanity code

A shared Sanity package now holds code that the Studio and the frontend both need. Write it once, import it in both.

## CI and a new mobile menu

A CI workflow now runs checks on every change, and package scripts were made consistent so the same commands work everywhere. The mobile menu was redesigned, dependencies were updated and the root README was refreshed.

If CI does not run it, it is not a rule. Now it runs.
